New Tales from the Borderlands was (is?) down to $16 when I was browsing Amazon yesterday.

Only thing I want from here is that 1TB memory card...

Nothing there that I need or don't already have. I already even have the 1TB micro SD card from a previous sale.

Not too much there I would consider purchasing even if these deals came to North America.

Okinawa Rush is $2 on the eshop right now. The game isn't worth $2.

These sales happen every other day. Nothing special.

So much good stuff. The controllers parts are the best for me. Mario, Pokemon and Zelda controllers. Venom multi-colour Led light-up console stand looks beautiful. The red colour looks good. The Mario cases looking beautiful. Mario kart racing deluxe and EPOCH Super Mario Piranha plant Escape looks good. Ozeino Gaming Headset looks very good.

Just grabbed myself NSMBU DX and 3D World, though both don't appear to be listed as being part of the Spring Sale though, even if the discount price is correct.

If a game isn't under 20 quid, it's not a deal

Prime day has been mediocre for a long time now. Overhyped consumerism holiday.

With the exception of a few “may need it” buys like joycons and backup memory cards that’s a pretty weak showing imo. Nothing you couldn’t find elsewhere, anyway.

Don't get me wrong! I love my switch as well, generally. i play mostly retro and indie games on mine, and the occasional Zelda or Mario.

As a Nintendo console though? I think it lacks alot of the magic, frankly. not the strongest or most imaginative first party library they've had, and the hardware is a bit generic if I'm honest, compared to prior consoles. and, "nintendo tough" sadly no longer applies. they even messed up the dpad on both attempts 😬 the big swing towards "normal" controls (25+ year regression for nintendo all the way back to snes/psx) also does not impress me.

yes, i do miss the old nintendo 😐

Oh for sure! The space was certainly needed. Maybe down the line it'll work on a switch 2 that utilizes the faster read/write speeds too 😉
